Kirste (she/her) is a writer, digital illustrator, and producer from the Riverland, South Australia. Kirste primarily works supporting young people and regional-living South Australian creatives by developing projects, workshops, gatherings, events, and commissions.
She’s the lead producer of Portal Festival (2022 and 2024 and 2026), which was developed for her community of passionate fantasy-loving creatives.
From writing about memory-thieving weasels to drawing her favourite over-powered anime characters, she lives for all things magical and ensures her work reflects that love. And if fairy wings don’t sprout from her back, or fire doesn’t spark from her palms, someday soon she’ll face her destiny as a Capricorn villain.
